It seems that Canada may in fact be moving in that direction. Recently there has been much discussion about decriminalization of all drugs. This has even received support by a large collection of the Chiefs of Police across the country. I think what's driving this is the number of people that are overdosing on fentanyl.

That's not the same thing as being fully legalized though. You're not going  to able to buy legal cocaine at your local liquor store lol.

People made the same complaint when they legalized weed here. This is wrong with it, this is wrong with it. I'll tell you the same thing I've told them.. the whole reason we got where we did is because so many people decided the rules were fucked and didn't listen. Fast forward to now and there's private dispensaries still EVERYWHERE. Still popping up EVERYWHERE. Either they change the rules, we make them, or they look weak because they can't/won't enforce their laws. There are probably at least DOZENS of AAAA+ top quality sites selling mushrooms these days, domestically in Canada. More pop up all the time. The same way it did with weed. Except more rapidly. Baby steps turn in to giant steps eventually.. can't get too hung up on the "butter notes"

I only know of 2, one of them only sells microdoses and the other is always sold out of everything except microdoses, I check it about 1-2 times a month and I havnt seen an oz on sale for 6 months, just overpriced microcapsules, they want like $84 for 60 100mg micro-caps

Well, damn.  Just how addictive is it?  I have taken it a few times and it made me feel good & happy, kinda like a low dose of Vicodin.  I was thinking last night about picking some up today to help curb my drinking.

The stuff I have knocks vicodin out of the water.  It’s no heroin, but it is addictive, and withdrawals from it are real and do suck.

I've gotten batches that where 2.5 grams would have your head spinning, and more would make you feel like shit,  I believe its mostly harvested in many places in sept, so late sept/early oct is the time to buy, but some places may have more frequent harvest.. I don't enough to say with any authority.

I’m probably a kratom lightweight, a gram would be an overindulgent waste with my stuff, but Im starting to think it might just be me.

Taking some kratom before running makes it soooo much easier! A lot easier to injure yourself too though...

:werd:

No other plant/herb or synthetic/man-made drug gives me as much raw-natural energy & stamina as kratom does. Nothing else comes anywhere close to providing the amount of energy/strength & stamina that kratom does for me.

And it's a very "natural" & "raw" feeling energy...It's not like I'm stimulated or wired or amped up, I don't even actually feel "high" in anyway, but with kratom in my system I can go & go & go & go with out much of any fatigue at all.

I take kratom daily anyways...but taking kratom before going on a long bike ride or while hiking/back packing in the mountains with a 40lb+ pack on the back or other similar physically demanding activities is real nice. Gets me in the "zone".

I've been super curious what component of kratom provides this increase in energy/strength & stamina, or what is going on pharmacologically....It feels like I'm able to tap into the true potential of the energy in my body/cells and in some ways it kinda feels like there's more oxygen flowing through out my muscles & circulatory system. For a long time now I've wondered what is going on there, because no other herb or drug comes anywhere close to giving me the strength & stamina that kratom gives me.

Okay so I totally screwed that up. I just looked at what I ordered and I'm getting a little over a half a kilo that'll last me 2 weeks. So, disregard that. My mistake.

Still tho...going through a kilo every month is a massive amount of kratom lol. 12 kilos in a year, JFC  lol.

1.5 kilo lasts me an entire year. A couple months ago I placed a new order for kratom for the first time in over 2 years lol.

Costs me less than a cheap cup of coffee per day.

Even tho I've been taking this leaf basically daily for 8+ years now...

...I still can't really take any more than 4g to 5g at once. Taking more than 4g to 5g at one time makes me feel like shit. Makes me dizzy, light headed, nauseated, hot/sweaty, headaches, difficulty focusing, just all around feeling like crap.

1.5g to 2g taken twice a day is my dose...I've been taking that same dose around the same time of day for 8+ years now and it still works very well for me.

I'm not sure if you're asking me that question?

But no, I haven't tried to stop taking kratom. I've gone a few days with out it here & there over the years but I have no reason to and no desire to stop taking this leaf at the moment.

I'm not taking this leaf to get high/chase a buzz all day, I take it was a "medicine" for the same reasons one would be prescribed a SSRI and/or benzo and/or adderall. I take no more than 2 teaspoons a day of kratom (about 4g or less). I'd rather take this leaf than take a SSRI, benzos, adderall, etc. I also feel this leaf works better than those medications for the reasons I take it, this leaf has far less side effects than those medications, and this leaf is far cheaper than those medications.

This leaf brings benefit to my life/days and isn't detrimental to my life, it isn't detrimental to my health/my body (I actually feel it offers benefits to one's health/body), and my use of this leaf isn't detrimental to the people around me so I have no reason or desire to stop taking it. I do have some mild physical dependence on the leaf but I'm OK with that. I understand and I'm very aware of the fact that I'll experience some mild to moderate W/D when I choose to stop taking the leaf daily and I'm OK with that. I fully understand what it is I'm working with and how "deep" I am with it in regards to being physically dependent on it (not all that deep). I choose to continue taking this leaf daily and I have no problem with it.

Sometime in the next year or two when I'm in a better place in life I will make the decision to take a break from taking the leaf daily & using it for the reasons I use it....but kratom is something I plan to have on hand for the rest of my life (hoping it's never banned, I dread such a thing). Kratom is a lovely plant/tool/medicine to have on hand and has a lot to offer in various ways. The leaf is also loaded with anti-oxidants and other components that are beneficial to one's health.

Have you actually weighed your teaspoon? theres a lot of controversy about using teaspoons, but its what I use too

I have a white teaspoon and have weighed it over a dozen times and it usually comes out to 2.3g

I have a red teaspoon that I have weighed a couple times and it was more like 2.5g

I heard different vendors have different grinds and a teaspoon from different vendors will weigh different amounts, but I have only ever bought from 1 vendor so I dont know

and how you load it up could effect it, I scoop out a heaping teaspoon and tap the sides of the spoon till the heap falls off and the teaspoon is flat

I have weighed it a few times years ago when I first started to take this leaf, just out of curiosity and so I had a reference point for how much I'm actually taking. A level teaspoon was always around 2g to 2.2g the times I weighed it. I've been using the same measuring spoon since I started to take the leaf so it's become my standard "unit" of dosage.

I rarely take a full teaspoon, I take like 8/10ths of a teaspoon....I usually tap the spoon a bit against something so that the leaf powder settles/packs down into the spoon just below the rim of it.

I know the grind/density of the powder can change the weight of the dose when using a measuring spoon/volume to take one's dose....but it's not too drastic. The few times I've got the extremely fine-grind micro-powder I just fill up the spoon a little less than usual.

Yep, I was asking you. Thanks for the thorough answer. The reason that I asked is because I felt similar to you. I have stopped three times after lengthy periods of use (multiple years). I never used massive amounts per day; generally keeping to one or 2 doses and not exceeding 10 grams per day.

Each time I stopped the WD symptoms were significantly worse than the time before. After the last hellish discontinuation I have decided not to use kratom again in the future. With that said, I fully acknowledge that I am in the minority with the extent of WD that experience upon discontinuation. I happen to think that kratom, for many people, is a wonderfully therapeutic plant.
