Why do so many drugs come from the Netherlands and why is it not a violent place?

Recently read something saying the Netherlands was becoming a "narco state" because of all the weed, mdma, and amphetamines that come from it.
There's really no definite answer, just speculations, to my question. People are murdered daily in the USA over the drug trade but I never hear about many murders in the Netherlands. Also I think narco state like Mexico where entire buses get hijacked off the highway and the passengers are murdered, raped, and kidnapped by uncontrolled narco terrosit organizations. If so many drugs are produced and trafficked there, why is there not the large scale violence we see

It's a culture thing in America and Mexico not a drug thing. So many more gangs in these places than in Europe. The Netherlands has more lax laws on drugs too. If things were as restricted as they are in the US there would probably be an increase in deaths I'm sure.

It is violent, but the drugs are for export and tourists. It gets shipped to the UK and smugglers and the turf war causalities occur far from where they are synth'd,

But violence is way less common, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I think the guy before hit it on the head. It's a culture thing, it's like earning your strips in a gang killing someone and people take pride in robbing drug dealers which usually ends bad for one of the parties involved

In relatively wealthy countries you don't have a drug problem till you cant afford them.
Everywhere has em but the "problems" follow mainly socio economic lines.

When a commodity is so illegal that handling and trading large amounts of it could easily cost you a large chunk, majority or entirety of your life, the stakes are high and multiple organized factions tend to need to handle the commodity in order to reach the end consumer. The more you handle and distribute in single transactions, the fewer organized groups you need to have involved and the lower the overhead costs and risks of an operation being upset as a result.
Because the commodity is illegal, there is no centralized regulation or outlet for outside arbitration should problems happen along the supply line. Whether this is outright scamming others in trades, or getting caught up and losing a significant amount of product that multiple people or groups have their hands in, problems happen that cost yourself or others whom all have no legal outlets for recuperating costs or dealing with the legal consequences.
Drug trade attracts violence in the same way that ANY commodity has the potential to, it's why many of the largest Empires in history fought for thousands of years over silk road routes, ports and river access and why England once 'controlled' 1/3rd of the planet. The higher the stakes of the consequences presented, and the higher rewards are artificially inflated by removing legitimate processes to facilitate trade efficiently, the more willing and sometimes required that actors involved are willing to resort to violence and theft in order to achieve goals or to punish others for preventing success.
Even though drugs are illegal in other countries, in the United States and other countries getting caught trading illicit substances can cost you years in jail and sometimes your life. So the stakes are higher than in other locations - and violence, black mail, intimidation, robbery are a reflection of the increased cost of playing in the market and increased rewards of playing.
And in contrast to other nations where drug violence is not a regular issue, in the US there is also an active government involvement at local, state and federal levels in creating this atmosphere of increased stakes and artificially driven costs. While actively ensuring this atmosphere exists across the population, there are alternatively groups, factions and companies which have a government secured monopoly on a product which is either exactly the commodity in question or a marketable alternative. These factions are often acting in accordance with the law and will openly lobby to retain their position on top of the monopoly and to use government resources to not only cut out competitors but to drive up the scarcity and value of what they have. But they also may act outside of the law, but have ties to government VIPs who can help them maintain hold and stay out of trouble.
Ultimately it's not isolated to drugs or any particular nation. Organized violence is a symptom of high risk, high reward situations in a competitive playing field where eliminating and controlling others is beneficial.

The Netherlands are one of the few countries who could very rapidly develop and produce an atomic bomb, because of all the nuclear expertise. Pakistan spied for atomic secrets HERE, not at a nuclear power.
The Dutch state has 1 ton of weapons grade plutonium as a strategic supply.
I think we should just surprise the world and become a nuclear power.
It would only cost us a few millions and a few months and suddenly you get WAY more respected and bargaining power on the world theatre. You get invited into councils etc only nuclear powers are invited to.
I'm sure the Royal Dutch Air Force would look foward to some 80 kT air drop nukes
We can then lower our defense expenses because which nation is going to fuck with a nuclear power?

You can’t really compare a country the size of the USA to a country the size of Holland without taking per capita into account.

Why it's not a violent place compared to somewhere like detroit is because instead of having drug dealers that make money off selling and addicts that have to steal to feed their habits, they give things like heroin to people until they get to a place where 70% of addicts don't need it. This eliminates alot of overdoses, theft, drug turf killings, debt retaliation etc. It makes it nearly impossible to be a ruthless street dealers. For the most part since it works the ones left can't be too violent without stick out like a sore thumb. It's an ingenious approach that's proven to work.
This is just on recovering opie addicts though so it's a small part of the picture
