Hello friends,
I hope you are well.
Just wanting a little advice on these oyster - Ulmarius that are growing on sawdust and straw.

Do they look as though they are receiving ample air exchange, humidity, light, etc?
Much appreciated,
SxC

You need a lot more FAE. Long stipes = you need more fresh air exchange. Remember even if you increase the air exchange the ones that have long stems will not change. But any new pins will grow much better. You need some kind of a circulation fan in your tent also. The circulation fan needs to move the air around, so no co2 builds up around the mushrooms. But don't have the fan blowing directly on the mushrooms or you will dry them out.

After looking closer at your pic I think you have that in a tote with perlite. If it is in a tote you will not be able to get adequate FEA. It is just impossible to grow oysters in a tote.

Thanks for the advice mate I can easily chuck a fan in there. Had a feeling they were looking a little lanky 😅
What do you mean by tote? Also why don't totes work for oysters?
Currently setting up a section of the greenhouse to put the blocks in. Should get some better air exchange, especially with all the plants.

Clear tote...

The reason totes don't work for oysters is that you can not get enough FAE and if you do get enough FAE you will never keep the humidity up with perlite. They work great for cubes and you may be able to grow king oysters in them. Don't get me wrong you might be able to get it to work for oysters. But it will not be worth the effort. Most people will just buy a small greenhouse and put an exhaust fan and pipe in humidity with a pond fogger. That way they can grow more than one block at a time and make it worth their effort. A greenhouse is how I started and I have been growing ever since.
