First time advice

First time growing, have read and re read many posts and information. I now have a good understanding but still want to learn more. Looking for advice from experienced growers.
2 vs 4 inoculation points - which is better? I'm thinking it would be faster with 4?
Better to keep jars in the dark till their ready? I have read this is outdated and light is ok, but is it better?
Temperature after adding casing - I have read to keep it the same as during spawning but I have also read that one of the triggers to pinning is a drop in temperature.
I have started out with Golden Teacher, any suggestions to the next one I should try.
What is your favorite way to grow? Is PF tek the best way?
Any Canadian growers that can suggest where to purchase supplies etc.

For beginners in the start of the hobby, less inoculation points means less ways for contaminations to enter your work. If your sterile technique is good, and your spawn is good, you can drastically increase the amount of inoculation points.
Light is said to be beneficial for all stages of mushroom growth, but it seems to at its highest importance during fruiting, not during colonization.

4 is def faster.
Light is beneficial for all stages of growth.
A cold shock only works for shiitake as fas as i know.
Any cube variety will work.
Agar to grain to bulk substrate is the best method that requires the least work ime

So far so good with contamination, eventually I would like a flow hood.
I guess I will take my jars out of the cupboard and see how they respond.
Thanks for your advice.

Will be adding holes to my lids in the future, just finished prepping another batch.
As mentioned will not bother storing jars in cupboard.
Glad I asked about the temps, I was going to lower but will keep the same.
That was my thinking, that any variety would work, but may make the hobby more interesting trying some different ones?
And I just received some agar and dishes to try out agar, having trouble sourcing Rye grain and I am unsure about the dextrose in the agar recipe. Could I use corn syrup in the agar mix as my dextrose?
Was going to try the potato flake, dextrose recipe if I remember correctly - have to re read about that.
Agar is my next move. Just have to learn a bit more about it to make sure I get it right.
I tried Liquid culture and it looks like its working, used some corn syrup for that.
Time to do some reading about grain to bulk - Thank you for the advice.

Corn syrup isnt the best to use. I prefer a dry malt extract recipe. There's a lot of recipes posted here, they are somewhere in my signature
