Shoebox Not pinning

So after almost 2 weeks of spawning a PE species into a sub of coir/verm, I still see no pins. There have been knots on the surface now for almost a week too, and I understand these are slower growing mushie's, but I originally started it off with the grocery bag over top of it that had holes poked through. After seeing the substrate dry out over and over after misting I took off the grocery bag and just put the lid back on the box.
I've been doing my best to keep the surface conditions favorable, but I just can't get this fucker to pin.
Any ideas?

If it hasn’t even been two weeks it just needs way more time.
I have a lot of normal cubes that don’t pin in 13 days. If you hit like 25 days with no pins then I’d maybe start to worry.

I did end up putting the lid on the shoebox, hoping that it will produce more moisture because I keep having to mist this fucking thing like 3-4 times a day and it's a bit annoying when everyone is like "I never have to mist" wtf..

Look at all of these knots though....

They have been there for about a week...I understand it might to be time yet, but I feel like the real issue is I can't maintain a proper surface moisture, shit just dries out way too fast and it's got a lid on it too. I'm sure most people on here if they respond to this post at all will look at those pictures and say it looks dry. I just misted after taking these photos.
I think this would technically be either day 7 or 8 after colonization according to my camera roll so I was way off on 14 days after full colonization so that really relaxes me. They were put directly into fruiting when spawned.

I’ve had PE take three weeks to pin on a regular basis, part of the reason I prep my sub wetter than normal when I run it.

Do things look good so far? Why would all of those little white dots appear but not pin? Aren't they the pre-stage to a "pin"?

Yeah it looks normal. That’s what PE does, knots up and then sits for like two weeks before pinning.

Thanks guys, I do truly appreciate it. I just don't remember PE's taking this long to pin. I remember it always took them long to colonize but I should've guessed that meant longer fruiting times too. Funny though how all mushie's once fruiting are typically fast as fuck when growing, it's just getting their mycelium to grow first that takes forever lol..so fascinating

PINS! YAY! Although non of them are growing on the actual substrate, they are again forming in between the sub and the liner where its all moist. I'm trying my best to keep the sub moist like that as well but it's hard...so far I see 3 little guys 1 is actually passed the pin stage it looks like, it's a baby shroom atm lol
