The rifle was already in Kenosha and was given to him by a friend, to use for self protection, knowing he will be going into unruly territories.

The friend giving him the rifle was the first crime. A felony. The fact that the gun was used to kill someone makes it an even more serious felony

It’s amazing how many so called “law abiding gun owners” don’t actually have any interest in being law abiding

I'm saying it to an average citizen. Kyle is an average citizen (see teenager) with a gun-- if he was a marine, he wouldn't be there-- because the actual marines weren't deployed there.

Meh, a lifeguard isn't an average citizen.

Obviously missing the point, some people are brave and offer help in times of crisis.

Kyle was smart by arming himself.

I’m the guy that has followed this from the beginning, watched all the videos, and made up his own mind.

But you’re a certified CC (whatever that means) and apparently that gives you some kind of moral authority to insult and try to throw around some imaginary weight.

What I find most disturbing is that many - if not a majority of - gun owners/2nd ammendment supporters in this country don’t appear to have any clue what they are legally permitted to do with their guns or don’t think the laws should apply to them. And that is dangerous.

People become lifeguards so they can sit on their asses all day, get some sun and stare at half naked bodies and get paid for it. The rare chance that they may get to save a life is a bonus for people who are desperate to be a hero. But really, lifeguards are just professional beach bums.

You know what is brave? Not shooting a man for chasing you. You know what is brave? Rendering treatment to a man you just shot even if a mob is forming. Being a pussy is shooting people because they scare you and running away from a dying man even as you claim you are there to save lives.

Going to a protest/riot with a huge fucking gun strapped to your chest is about as brave as going to your first day of class and having your mommy sit next to you the whole day.

Mah bad, it was damage control.

Every last article you posted is using a lot of words, makes tons of assertions, and has no evidence to back up those assertions.

Every last article you have posted falls under the moniker of fake news.

It is very poorly written for someone with a law degree. Writing proficiency is an important part of legal training.

I assume that the kid will be offered a deal. 2nd degree murder or something along those lines. They’ll offer 15-25 years. Question is will his lawyers want to gamble with his life for their own court room glory?

I don’t have a problem with him going down for a lesser charge, but he absolutely has to spend a decent chunk of time in prison. It would be obscene and a travesty if he gets to murder two people and walks. The first degree murder charge carries a mandatory life sentence. Are they going to risk that if they get an offer of 15 years? That would be crazy.

Also they need to fucking charge the guy who gave him the gun NOW. It doesnt even matter if Kyle is completely innocent and it was totally justifiable self defense, in Wisconsin, if you give someone under 18 a firearm and they end up killing someone, it’s a crime punishable by six years in prison. Frankly, that person should be subject to a felony murder charge if Kyle is convicted of murder.
