Are these contaminated or just metaboltes?

From my understanding they're one in the same sometimes in that the mycelium produces metabolites to fight off contamination. With that being said I think these jars look fine assuming the blue-grey spots are just bruising.

There may be some bacteria... that's a little more metabolites than I like to see.

Would you take a chance on spawning them or just bin them?

I know you're not asking me, but, depending on how they smell I'd spawn them in shoeboxes type containers. Definately wouldn't G2G or anything though.

I'd spawn 'em. Cubes can fight off bacteria oftentimes.

Hey,
Saw your post. I'm still a noob, but I'm dealing with a similar issue.
To me, doesn't look so good.
I've had similar stuff happen before and when spawned they have inconsistent success before overcome and full toss is needed.
I started logging stuff more closely recently on a my first tries at agar on plates, and it looks like this happened to me when transferring agar to grain.
Check these comparison shots. Look somewhat similar?

It all started here...Mistakes were made:

I could be wrong and have something else, but seems like the myc is reacting the same way.
I'm contemplating spawning that jar anyway and logging the progression...for science....on second thought...maybe not.
If you do spawn it, please share how it turned out.
