Great write up and video!
How large are your tubs? What is your avg harvest (first flush) in weight?

Great video. Good timing. Need an easier tek than pre-cutting contractor bags in quarters and then filling after. This one looks way more efficient.

That would be 1100gr - 1200gr fresh. I am getting 750 - 850. I am wondering if it's all the genetics or might I be doing something else wrong.

not all cultures are created equal  if you're confident in your conditions, and don't have to mist your monos for a proper surface, then conditions might not be the problem. using a super domesticated variety of cube doesn't hurt either if weight is what you're after

I am not "confident". I am just learning.

That makes me feel better lol, when I hear people claiming they get 8 oz on the first flush on a regular basis I get down on myself

Eh take that shit with a grain of salt. People lie for shroomery clout all the time. Rule of thumb is 1 oz dry per quart of spawn, and most monos are 5 quarts. I use 4.

I've done all my tubs this week using this method and holy shit I will never go back! Such a simple way to do it and I probably never would have thought of it so thank you!

Agreed. Remember when I fruited my bathtub all the flushes went in waves from the shallow end to the deep? I started to notice that thicker subs tended to pin slower than thinner regardless of spawn ratio. Never done anything super controlled but it’s something I’m definitely going to mess with some more. Level is best nonetheless.

Agreed. We have been going with less sub (and higher ratio) and they definitely pin faster. The 3" sub 1:4 pinned and fruited about 5-7 days faster than the 4" 1:3. Makes sense.
