Growkit mycelium has blue tint, contaminated?
    #26921242 - 09/06/20 01:50 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Hi guys,

First time growing shrooms, i got this grow kit a few days ago I kept it in a clean fridge by itself for 2-3 days as I couldn’t start it straight away. I’ve just set it up today according to the instructions which went fine except i noticed the mycelium layer in the middle is blue. Is this ok? Is it contaminated or is it just bruising? It was quite dry when i opened it and i sprayed distilled water on it. I’ve read it can become bruised from dehydration, is that what this is?

Thanks for the help ✌🏻

grow kits suck and usually dont grow anything other than mold and  bacteria. so just take it as a lesson learned and invest in the proper materials to do it yourself if you want much better chances to succeed. sadly for the cost of what you paid for basicly what is  a turd in a box you could have bought prolly everything u needed to get started. heres a good place to start man
