I need a new coffee table.
What kind of coffee table do you all prefer? Rustic? Modern/contemporary? Cheap and functional? And how much is a proper price range for a coffee table in your opinion?

I have one you can have. It's great. It weighs 40-60lbs. Extra thicc. You can have it for free, only $1000 USD for shipping. May need refinishing

Depends on the house. I have a modern rustic look so I would go with that, but I would really need to see where it is going to decide. I get most of my furniture from craigslist. Solid wood awesome stuff for cheap prices. Sometimes it takes a week or two to find what you want.

This fold-out coffee table is pretty cool.
I like the modern wood look myself.
Same one but in that modern rustic look.
And another with the Modern Rustic Look.
This Modern Book Coffee Table is pretty slick.
I also like this glass table.

What about a coffee table with an ant colony inside it?

Niffla you should build your own. Build a wooden frame and just get a few nice floor tiles to put in. Do a little grouting to smooth it out dyou can even get a pane of plexiglas to put over it of you wanted

I like the antique coffee tables with the hand carved legs/feet and decoration. I don't know enough to put a time period on em or style, but when I see one I know I like it. Usually buy one that requires a little TLC, like its was one painted and i need to remove the paint, give it an all over sure fine grit sanding and usually just some high quality wood oil rubbed (lol) into the surface and it looks great. Up side if I get tired off it I can off load it at a few shops or antique swaps for usually double what I paid.
