I'm also unsure if you post trip reports or not but I know you have at least a little interest in the differences in trips between varieties. Have you noticed anything different about RW or generations leading up to F9? Compared to just cubes that is. Just wondering if that could be a thing at some point

Like if we're to assume that these things are trying to be efficient at reproducing, then why do these dudes think growing gnarly is a good idea? I understand you've isolated and gone for these genetics, but they're such weird variants to me.
They are still very efficient producers, despite being weird. I get huge yields and lots of spores with em.

No. It tends to be a bit tomentose and take a little longer for the fruits to mature but, itβs no harder than any other cube

I donβt usually post them. I find most mushrooms are either potent or not. But I do find RW to be generally pretty visual with low body load.

Sept 5th
Spawned APE and PEU tubs today. Things are looking good in the RW tubs, some pics of the pinset as it set up. RW always seem to take their sweet time in developing I feel.

Hey Pasty, so does RW have a tendency to blob always and have weird pins? The first and last time I tried, mine was blobbing majorly, I threw it out because I thought something was wrong. I started in agar again earlier this week, but should I expect this to happen again? Is it common?

Yes weird pins and blobs are pretty common. They usually end up looking pretty normal in the end though. Not sure why you would throw out a blobbing tub, would you have tossed a blobbing PE tub?

Thanks for the response Pasty, I've never grown any type of PE, I am familiar about reading that PE does that, but that was the very first time I had experienced any blobbing. I had a thread asking about it, and others said that was strange RW would do such a thing like that, RW doesn't do that, I had a contamination or bacterial issue that they were reacting to...
So should I be doing anything special for RW? Do I need to do any additional stuff? Because I am planning to just spawn it to bulk like any other cube like I did last time, or should I be doing something else?
