ID Request for two species - Northeast Michigan
    #26919408 - 09/05/20 01:57 PM (3 years, 4 months ago)

Please bear with me for information - I’m currently at my parent’s house and they are very religious so trying to do all of this under their nose has been....challenging. Anyway, I may post more as there are a lot of mushrooms growing up here.

Species #1:

Habitat:
Northern Michigan, eastern side. Growing in 2 foot area in soil/grass close to house and woods nearby. Lake is also nearby.

Gills:
See attached images

Stem:
Length is about max 1.5 inches on the larger ones. See images for more details.

Cap:
Diameter is about .5 - 2 inches. See attached images for more details.

Spore print color:
Initial print is clear with brown spotting, but have not had a chance to wait a few hours.

Bruising:
Hard to tell

Other information:
Smells like a “regular” brown mushroom you’d buy at a store, but with a tinge of something extra or more wild. It’s hard to describe.

Species #2

Habitat:
Northern Michigan, eastern side. Growing alone in the woods nearby dead trees. Lake is also nearby.

Gills:
See attached images

Stem:
Length is about 3 inches. See images for more details.

Cap:
Diameter is about 1 inch. See attached images for more details.

Spore print color:
Have not had a chance to try spore print.

Bruising:
Hard to tell, but possibly black?

Other information:
Doesn’t really smell like anything.
