from what i've read, dxm is lethal at around 700-800mg, for a 170lb person, so unless your 300 or more lb i have a hard time believing you took 2g. I'm not saying your bs or anything just that i haven't seen any proof of anyone being able to take 2g.

Incorrect. I've taken doses over a gram of DXM at that body weight. Death is thought to be a danger in doses around 20mg/kg. AFAIK, There's been only one death caused by DXM OD. The user was a regular visiter of the 4th plateau (doses of 15mg/kg or higher).
Yes, scribbles, DXM abuse might cause brain damage. Occasional use probably will not cause brain damage. I used DXM about 250 times in a 1.5 year period and the only lasting damage I still have to have is the loss of ability to empathize and some spelling deficits. I was a regular visiter of the third plateau (dosage wise)

i honestly can say that i never tried doses 1gm or over and probably never will. i based my info on the dose calculator eihter here or on the 3rd plateau, not sure. And i believe he was speaking of long term effects like in a few years or so.

Unfortunately, I think we'll just have to wait and see about long term effects.

hubertd8, according to Erowid the LD50 for dxm is 2.5g. That means for those of you that do not know, 2.5g was the lethal dose for 50%. That means the other 50% didn't die.....me and a group of 3 other friends went through a 50g bag of pure in less than half a year. Tolerance has a lot to do with it too. Do what you choose. It'll only affect you in the end. BTW, I'm 6'2" 220lbs.
