Sucking air in isn’t good but it might be ok. Did you use the lc on grain yet?

Just remember that lc is very easy to contaminate. Little things that you might get away with for plates and jars will ruin lc. Everything grows much faster in liquid.

Yes, i use rye grain later.

Chemical sterilization isnt a thing. Only heat can sterilize.

Alcohol only sanitizes which doesn't kill everything

Fietchen, you are getting a lot of great advice here. Consider yourself lucky

Just follow the steps everyone has been recommending and dont take any short cuts and you'll be fine.

The bag definitely looks sweaty, but this could also be a change in ambient temp vs the internal bag temp. When myc feeds it gives off heat. Keep an eye on it. If it doesn't start to colonize in a week, it may be contaminated.

Later this evening it was hand warm so i was ready for Injecting but next time i use a Jar with silicon ports for better safety the Bag i cut holes in and litte air is also danger so another faul maybe but i learning a lot. I hope the Bag is OK the holes are tapet and i incect good lc in it 8ml i think so the mycelium can show up quickly i hope.

8cc/ml of LC is way too much. 2-3cc/ml max. Thats why its so wet

Or perhaps you could go with your mycellium solution to PF cakes, and clean it up like that.  The brown rice flour on vermiculite is supposed to give bacteria a very rough time.  Something to think about.

True story.  I've had very few syringes that were clean enough to go directly to grain.  I've had some syringes I wanted to clean up, but they were too bacterial, I couldn't even get them to germinate on grain or agar. All I was getting was bacterial growth.  I ended up making some brown rice flower pucks, squirting a few drops on it from the syringe, and finally got some germination!  I was then able to transfer a bit of myc to agar and clean it up from there.

I left those BRF pucks to colonize just for the fun of it, and they actually did fully colonize, even the most bacterial of all, and they went on to pin and grow a couple fruits in vitro, which I ended up cloning to double up on my chances of success.

But the point being is that BRF was the only thing I was able to use to get my spores to germinate.  It's good stuff.

Oddly enough though, almost all the mushrooms that grew in vitro, except for one, seemed to be sterile and never produced any spores.

**Edit**  A bit off topic I suppose as I posted this before reading the rest of the thread.  My bad.  Carry on.  :tripping:

I don't, but that grain prep looks on point. Did you buy those bags or make them?
