Looks good man.
I think some people would disagree but I would actually mist a little. It looks pretty dry in the first couple pics especially.
Yeah the little dots are knots which grow into pins.

Really? I thought the RH was perfect but I'm not as experienced. I just always had bad experience with misting once pins arrived. Always causing aborts that way.

Misting won’t cause aborts as long as you have enough airflow.
Also don’t mist the surface directly you gotta spray up and let it rain down.
This is how I try to keep mine looking

Yeah I always spray upwards, I just always thought since I was getting aborts after misting in the past, that it was the misting causing t. Mine looks almost identical to your pic there. Tiny tiny beads of water on the surface. It's been sitting like that for almost 2 weeks as well without being touched.

Maybe it’s just the lighting in some of the pictures then.

It has to be the shadow in the pic, because there are perfect little tiny beads of moisture resting on the the top of the surface. Just wish I had a better camera lol

Cubes like it wet.
These are growing from 100% liquid (rye simmer water) but as mentioned before fresh air is key.

Humidity is good but you also want regular surface evaporation which is sometimes prevented by very high humidity without FAE.
Personally I'd mist a bit. It is tricky to get coir to breathe right. Peat/verm seems to breathe better and hold moisture better but the PH and calcium levels are more tricky. Good luck and keep on trucking.

Good read. I noticed he is doing regular mono whereas I'm doing a mini. I imagine the same would apply, I just don't have bottom holes. Just 2 holes on each side and around the upper middle of the tub

That's what I was following. Didn't see much if anything about the amount of polyfil and if some were to be removed once fruits arrive to increase FAE

I'm guessing it's a fruit at spawn sort of deal. is there a dry ring around the holes?

it's pumping out heat. I wouldn't do anything with that. the side pins tell me the surface dried out.
more fae won't help with your conditions. it'll just dry out the surface more,

There’s a ton of good TEKs out there that would’ve answered a lot of those questions, you can search just for TEKs as well. But I do understand getting live feedback.

The surface is covered with tiny beads of moisture and has been for about a week now. It isn't dry IMO however, I'm not exactly sure the extent you mean when you say it's dryQuote:

yeah, I've probably been through a lot of those teks. It's been a few years since I've done this and I forgot a lot. Plus I always did SGFC's or shoeboxes. Live feedback is very prominent when wanting another pair of hopefully experienced eyes.

I’m in the same boat as you, lol I looked back and last message was 2010. I feel your pain, a lot has changed but more simplified. I’ve been following Bod’s TEKs just because I like the simplicity. But read through a ton of others like mixing substrate in a trash bag with spawn. If you want a liner kill two birds with one stone.
