Double digit kid in the 90s. High school starting at the end of that decade. So I'm probably not that far off.

Sorry to change the subject, but found a massive patch of Lacyramira at a park. When I’ve found weillii before it was after lacs. Flushed. Do they typically do that, or was I late to the party... they might not even be there at all, but my inner voice is telling me to keep looking!!

They share the same fruiting conditions more or less. If you're seeing lacs there's a high chance you'll see caerulescens. One doesn't really follow the other as much as lacs are handy as an indicator of good environment.

Probably telegraphed Edison too and let him know they were gonna get faded later.

Don’t know how I missed this little backyard guy... under the wild cedar in the moss. This spot is gonna be amazing maybe even this year, but definitely next year since all the area around has recently been graded!
Goes to show you how well they blend in.

A few pretty little things. Grass boys on a border area merging with clay and pine straw.

This thread kills me everytime I open it up - I'm roughly 60 miles west of the GA border and I haven't found the first active all year. I'm thinking it's just better to cultivate at this point

Went to bid a job yesterday and as I'm walking back up this steep ass hill I trip and stumble a little and noticed this weird patch of black goopy shit and some busted up nasty looking mushrooms when the smell hits me.

So im half shitting myself when I spot 3 or 4 little freshies. Im super surprised at how insanely well they were hidden.

So I spread some more grass and find another little cluster. Okay, is this real??

Walk a bit over and spread some more random grass, and holy shit there more right?

Im getting a little on edge cause the customer is home, literally 4 minutes earlier we were walking the lot and going over plans, so I snatch what I can and do a cursory glance over the rest of the yard on the way back to the truck and this guys yard is quite literally flooded with them. I legit cant believe how hidden they all were...makes me really question how many ive trampled and just completely missed!!
Lined em all and took a little family shot and a few other pics to show some of the weird fruits

I really like this style of fruit for some reason. These guys look so unique to me and it seems like theres no chance at misidentifying them!

Just another cool lookin fruit!

And this dude with a sweet lil abort!

These things are so crazy. Put in so many hours busting ass and am on the verge of just putting in way less effort and now its like I cant NOT find the little fuckers
