Yeah like you said I would have kept an eye on the dog and if I couldn't I might be inclined to call someone. It is a little questionable, I mean the window is down a good amount and it's in the shade. Maybe the dogs a dick like it's not a lot different than being in a cage all day at that point. It's not like he left it in the sun with the windows up. I don't really like it myself but I'm just being honest. I've always wanted to come across a situation like this so I could legally and heroically bust someone's window in. One time I noticed someone's kid in a car and just as I started standing there being pissed off and trying to decide what to do they slink back to the car. They knew I was pissed, that look of shame.

I was standing by my car with the dog in a big (mostly empty) parking lot a couple of weeks ago and a car pulled up near me and shortly after out jumps this girl with an armful of plastic bottles, which she then proceeds to just dump right there in the shrubbery surrounding the tarmac.
I started walking towards it with the firm intention of picking up the dozen or so bottles and throwing them into the back of my truck to recycle later.
She saw me and got back out with head held low and started picking them up and putting them in her trunk.
She knew it was wrong, clearly, and was just being lazy.
Humans, LOL.

Even with the window down, at least where I live, that car would get way too hot and quickly. My car didn't have AC for a few weeks, trust meh!

I'm surprised at the amount of anger being expressed here over an unconfirmed injustice...
How do we know that the owner of that dog wasn't simply popping into an appointment somewhere for five minutes?
So we have a picture of a dog in a car - there's nothing wrong with that - and yet because Hammy is 'pissed off' - we now have half a dozen other 'pissed off' people in the community.
It strikes me as a sad sign of the times that this thread has unfolded this way. You all know I'm a dog owner, and I take the welfare of my animals very seriously, yet I am not about to let my emotions get stirred over hearsay and nigh on zero evidence, from a man that quotes shite from the worst of the MSM regularly, gets wound up by it regularly, and who does not take seriously the welfare of other humans.
But this is what we love these days isn't it? Shock factor. We're geared up on MSM that's tempered and predisposed us to get wound up on unfounded stories, which are often untrue anyway.
I beg of those here who have felt annoyance due to this thread; can we please reflect here that potentially, there is absolutely no reason to allow ones inner peace and equilibrium to be disturbed over this matter?

It's that unknown that causes anxiety.
At lunch now, no dogo.
Who knows how long he was gone for, I pulled away shortly after taking those photos.
He looked to be going to work, having gotten a tool bag from the back.
I would be more upset if it were still there, but no.

I'm with you on this man! Some would say, Oh they were only in the store/gone for a short time, but it's still shitty especially when it's brutally hot, shade or not, window down or up. My pet loving mom would take her dogs (4 I think) with her to the grocery store (she lives in Texas) in the dead of summer. Get this, she made an extra set of keys so the dogs could go with her to the store while the FUCKING CAR WAS RUNNING, AC ON, WITH THE KEYS IN IT!!! She would be in the store for an hour or more sometimes, it was nuts! I will NEVER understand some peoples complete devotion to a pet in that sense, it seems mentally unhealthy. I don't even want to tell you about the cat situation, FUCK!

So you saw a dog left alone in a car for a couple of minutes, and then got so pissed off about it that you had to make a thread here to spread your pissed off vibes amongst other members of the community?
I don't understand what it is with people like you who always seem to need to have an enemy; something or someone to be pissed off at or for.
It's the very same thing that hit me when I first moved to this country.
Siege mentality.
It's fucking demented. A bunch of kids at a car park where I walk my dog asked me last night what I thought of this country. I said I think it's absolutely terrible for peoples mental health.
They agreed with me.

When I see the guy get a tool bag and walk away wearing a hard hat and reflective vest on, I'm totally off base in thinking he could be going in for an 8 hour day and may only visit his dog on lunch break.
Why are you giving me a hard time jsb? Some people in this thread actually agree with me, that dogs shouldn't be left in cars.
In my opinion, a valid and legitimate concern for the safety of any dog left in a car.
Same goes for dogs left outside during winter months.
If someone can't take care of a dog, they probably should give it to someone who can.
Dogs don't deserve to be neglected.

Saw you saw the guy, didn't say anything to him, and now you're raging online about it with a picture that shows his workplace/business?
I'm just surprised you haven't called to get him fired.

Though one of you may have called.
I tend to mind my own business. Calling him out would have caused confrontation, which I'm better off avoiding.
Like many of you say, I didn't know his story. I didn't say anything about reporting him or anything, just that it pisses me off that people leave their dog in their car.
Speaking of business, support local ones, give him a call and give him your money.
Is it not OK to express myself on this issue without getting criticized? Ffs #2020

If its hot, and windows aren't really wide open, i'll wait by vehicle for 5 mins, call cops give em plate number and smash the window out with my multi tool. As long as you notify cops first and explain, they are fine with you smashing the window, I then stay till the cops get there.
