Lost 4/21 jars to this mold

Is this from a dirty needle or is this inevitable when inoculating with a syringe?
This is my third set of 21 jars and the first contamination I've seen.
The only thing I did differently was my lid tek to allow more GE and save time colonizing - a 1/4 hole stuffed with poly-fil and 3 smaller holes for inoculation points (previously only used a 1/4 hole with poly-fil)
Also, these were brand new jars and I didn't wash them before I pc'd them.

I’d say it definitely came from the syringe.. the extra hole shouldn’t matter too much with a verm barrier and I use to only clean the jar rim Where the verm barrier is when washing jars (unless the previous cake was contaminated) prior to Pc’ing with no problems
Was the syringe home made or was it from a vendor (plz don’t be vendor-specific)?

Thank you. It was from a vendor, still on my first grow atm. Ordered 4 different strains and this first one with any contamination.

I’d just strike it up to win some/lose some. 19% loss isn’t unheard of working from spore syringe... if it keeps happening, maybe switch back to the old lid design and see if that helps. Like I said, I doubt it’s that but ya never know.

I've never seen a syringe from a vendor that didn't test dirty on agar. It's not really their fault. It is nearly impossible to make a completely clean spore print and therefore is even harder to make a clean spore solution. 4 out of 21 isn't bad for spores applied directly to substrate.
The extra GE just makes things grow faster both good and bad. Those cakes might have looked good otherwise if the O2 levels were not high enough for the mold to sporulate.
Take prints when you get them and keep on keeping on. Working with agar is a very rewarding and fairly cheap hobby. A microscope is an incredibly valuble tool as well and most standard petri dishes can be viewed on lower magnification. Lots of people judge their plates with the naked eye which breeds a lot of false information on these forums. I've seen many plates that most would consider to be mold (mold is another term used here regularly with false application) that were actually very productive fruit making critters.
Good luck with your cakes and like I said, just keep doing. The worst you could loose is some time and really cheap ingredients.
