Agar tranfers to carbon plates
    #26914213 - 09/02/20 06:04 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Hey Everyone. Could use some advice on these. I have made some transfers from a very clean agar plate to carbon PDYA agar. I have also been having a helluva time germinating some prints on these carbon plates (maybe too solid/hard?).

Anyway my goal was to expand the clean plate out and propagate to other plates. I also want to germinate some prints.

Please have a look and give me your thoughts. Thanks!

plate 1

plate 2 - something got in there

plate 3

plate 4 - print germination attempt

Last question: are the concentric myc layers due from temp fluctuations?

What was the reason to put clean agar to carbon (assuming charcoal) plates?

From my understanding the use of activated charcoal is to clean up bacterial spores/transfers. So it makes sense to use as a germ plate, but not a clean transfer.

I had some extras from my failed print germination attempts. No reason other than they we ready to use.
