This should be fruiting right now, right?
    #26914116 - 09/02/20 05:04 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

There are countless pins on this cake and have been for a few days... shouldn't it be fruiting by now? I feel like the answer here is to be patient...

I probably asked the wrong question.  I've just noticed over the past couple of days that this particular cake has been popping up with tons of pins daily whereas on other cakes that have been in the SGFC have already had to been harvested and been in there a shorter amount of time. Basically,  I'm just seeing pinning... not much else. I dunno. I suppose patience is the answer.  Just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong I guess.

I'm not effectively communicating and not using the proper vernacular for my concern.  I'll think about it and retry later. This is my very first grow and all I'm saying is that the last cake, I had to harvest pretty quickly and it hadn't been in there as long as this cake has and it had way less pins like this one.  Maybe I'm just about to have a massive haul with this one I guess 🤷‍♂️

This is the first cake

As you can probably see, there aren't/weren't as many pins. I figured the distinction btwn fruits and pins were their size.

I want to say the cake is way dried out but it’s not bruised at all so idk.

That's precisely what I'm saying. They have been like this and at this stage for DAYS. Only thing forming is more pins.  What do I need to do??

Ok wait,  so, some of these pins ARE in fact getting bigger daily but it's just taking them forever. And yes, a lot of them look like aborts.  But I'm shocked at the sheer number of pins. They're EVERYWHERE on this cake. I'll take more pics.

Never mind. I'm just gonna wait and see what happens.  Probably not much I can do anyway.  Got a couple of other cakes pinning so I'll be fine. I find myself stressing over this supposed pastime a bit too much.

Make sure you re-hydrate your perlite if your climate is dry, that water doesn't last long.  Gotta pour more in there pretty frequently sometimes.

honestly dude, some good genetics. On my cakes, I get 1 Pin every time. You have more pins on 1 cake than I do on 12

After this grow don’t even bother with BRF if you have a pressure cooker. If you don’t want to use grains you can use BRF. Get it to colonize in the jars and just shave it into the coco coir/vermiculite mix, mix it in a 6qt shoebox and put the lid on.
