Are you hot pouring into those or are you prepping them like no pours

Is the colonization time correlated w potency at all? Say one jar colonizes in a week and a half, and the other takes almost a month to colonize, do these genetics have anything to do with potency?
Like, is the one that colonizes much faster likely to be more potent? Or perhaps the slower one?
I wonder why this happens and wondering if anyone knows this

If so, can this be maintained for subsequent flushes or does it gradually go to shit
Just use Pastys easy mono, Munches easy liner and its really hard to go wrong and there isnt anything thats much easier to do that provides results as good. This is a decent clone using both those methods

I saw that happening but in the Tex Bod seemed to shy away from casing layer. Will the substrate pin on top of the grain or only the coir? I didn’t know if the exposed grain will not allow the substrate to create pinning.

Hot pouring them. Pcing my agar then when the pressure hits 0 I open the top of the PC and screw the lid down and place it in my SAB. I try to pour around 120*F but these got poured a little cooler than that. Maybe I’m not letting the air settle long enough before starting to work in the SAB. I showered and made sure there was no moving air for at least 15 mins before starting. My gf did walk in the door halfway through though
I will keep trying. Maybe add 5 mins to the pc time. I vent and start the timer when it hits 15 psi tho so I’m stumped. It seems like the bacteria is def coming from me in some way

I read the tek, do you have to use non pp5 lids? Because I believe mine are pp5 lids but I don’t think the bases are pp5. I have 3 media bottles for agar, I should be able to PC and pour them but keep failing lol. Either way I will keep at it.

I doubt those cups are sterile...
@jcm i was smelling what you're selling about the consistency. I too had moisture problems with wbs and bacteria problems with oats. Wheat changed my world. I used to work harvest - wheat and barley are really similar grains and most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference looking at a field

ya im not a wbs fan at all. i know a lot of ppl use it and have great luck with it but to me even good jars look contammed at times lol its all just preference and u should use what works for u but what u found with wheat i feel the same about the rye. its just like clockwork and comes out exactly the same every single time. i do wanna try some rgs tho just cuz ive never used it. i know its great for stones but im not really into stones i just wanna try it to say ive tried it lol

I found rgs a pita. Especially for stones. Gives you more cleaning work. Also had moisture issues

That actually makes a lot of sense. I just got these 2 oz cups from target with pp5 lids, can they even be PCed?

Pics? They don't have a recycling code on the cups? You can always put a hole in the lid like you would for a no pour and put it in a makeshift foil cup just incase it melts and test one in the pc

@jcm
Apes are my favorite. I’ve only grown b+, pe, and ape from MSS to BRF cakes shredded to coir/verm so far and I’m working on agar now while I finish up those jars. It seemed to give me better yield.
This is 2 brf half pints

@tryp
These are them, I was wrong the bottom is pp5 and the lids are pet1 am I good to go if I poke holes in the lids and put micropore and cover lids with tinfoil and pc? How long do I PC em for?
