lol no those pics are my best/favorite ones and then one of my very first grow. I wish they all came out like that. The PE and the one next to it that’s close up are clones the rest were all from spores.
The lagm link has a bunch of grows I did.
For example here’s a pesa shoebox I did at like 33 days old.

Easily my worst ever. I think most people would’ve tossed it after a month with no pins but the surface still looked pretty good. It actually did eventually grow some decent size mushrooms a couple weeks later.
These are more of what my average ms shoeboxes look like

Lol.. You are indeed a trooper for keeping that shoebox.
But good to hear, so it is definitely genetics which makes a grow good or great..
What is the reason for you to grow in shoeboxes? Easier to handle or does it give you more shrooms per pound of substrate?
And what spawn ratio you use? I've got 16 quarts of spawn and I am doubting to do 3, 4 or 5 44 quarts tubs. Or make it all shoeboxes. What are your thoughts on that?

Just cuz I picked shoeboxes to start with and was originally planning on growing a couple ounces and being done with it. Like I was seriously hyped about the thought of having two ounces in the freezer.
Also a huge reason was I didn’t have a pc. I used an instant pot and could only do one quart at a time.
Once I got a pc I started doing a lot of underbed tubs. Much larger shrooms for sure.

Lol.. The good old days. I'll just stick to the tubs.
Thanks for taking the time to reply! I am pretty good on my way, but it helps a lot to be able to ask someone about all these details.

Hey! I know I'm super late to the thread but was hoping you could tell me a little more about how you modified your mason jar lids? I recognize the blob of silicone glue but how does that big hole in the middle work? I'm trying to make a lid that functions like a self healing port but can accommodate the width of a pipette, and it looks like your lid might be capable of something similar?
