Mid flush suspicious fruits

After the harvest from my dubtub I was left with very nice set of pins that didn't look like aborts (no black caps).
This is harvest:

This is what was left behind:

Substrate didn't look that dried out, I gave them mist every day... Now, this is how these look after 2 days:

Looks like it's not healthy development? Like they will not grow that big, hmh... Most probably low humidity? How to proceed? Pick developed ones at one point then dunk ?

Is this a multispore grow or some other genetics you've worked with previously?

What did you use to inoculate those jars?

That's a multispore grow. You're taking a crapshoot with genetics doing that, so that could be an explanation. You can take that variable out of the equation using an isolate or clone. There could be some environmental factors at play as well, but I'll leave that for someone smarter to answer.

It is normal, nothing to worry about. Honestly I always wondered too the exact science of why would this be... It happens all the time to my pins or early fruits when I harvest the already matured fruits that are around them... In spite of making an effort and not harming these little pins or fruitbodies while harvesting the rest of the tub, they tend to get fuzzy feet and continue streching just a little bit and finally stalling, but never getting the full size as the rest... I guess these new fruits 'sense' that there was a change in the substrate when we harvest, like if it was the end of the flush... Something in that sense. But anyways, I think it's better and more practical to harvest everything at once instead of in installments, including immature fruits. Just my 2c!

love this , actually makes a lot of sense , they are a small ecosystem, interconnected, picking up some disrupts the whole, and remaining fruits don't act and grow as before, wow

Oh yes aborts are good to eat! Indeed they could be more potent than a regular mushroom As a good rule of thumb, every shroom is safe to eat as long as it looks and smells good. The only cases gotta be careful is when the fruitbody is infested with any serious mold or bacteria. In those cases you could boil it and make tea

I wouldn’t eat anything with mold or bacterial goo.
Some little cap splotches or dots on the stem are fine though.

I wouldn't either. But read that boiling could be the last of the last resort

That’s fine, I’m talking anything fuzzy, hairy, or gooey.
This is what I meant by bacteria ooze.

Somebody recently posted shit like that coming out of the stems.

whoa whoa, look at this sir...
I didn't even dunk it, just gave it a good mist! Healthy fruits...
but look at blue/green stuff now after the harvest:
how do you distinguish bruising from mold/something bad??

Nice, yeah dunking isn’t really necessary unless you had a massive flush.
Bruising is always just the myc turning blue, you’ll know mold when you see it. It looks way different like actual new stuff growing over the myc not just the myc changing color. Anything blue is ok I’ve seen green yellow purple white and pink mold but never blue.
