Habitat: Found these in the Kahurangi National Park, top of the South Island in New Zealand. Forested area (I think Beech?)They were on top of dense with walls of moss. Picked after a day of heavy rain/hail.

Gills: The mushrooms don't seem to have gills but are sacks
Stem: No stems (at least I think, if there were they were very small)

Cap: Each sack is slightly smaller than an eyeball give or take
Spore print color: Im not sure how to take one with these as they are sacks, but they are leaving blue markings on the paper bag I put them in
Bruising: On their skin they have patchy blue markings, not sure if this from bruising or simply natural
Other information: Two of them are looking slightly mouldy, are these still ok to consume?

Sorry this is my first time picking and happened to come across these on a walk, Two were together but the other few were by themselves chilling.

We'll need to see the insides of these. Can you please cut one in half and take a picture?
Welcome to the Shroomery.

Main thing is once you cut them in half the white skin will go blue on the cut. Inside shots yo!

To give you a comparison this image shows the difference between p. Weraroa and Weraroa virescens which are poisonous; the latter are much more blue and do not bruise - I believe the spore print would be different also. The Weraroa virescens are the two in the bottom right.

Here’s some info on identification:
If you want to check whether you have a Psilocybin mushroom, first make a spore print:
Cut the stem off the mushroom, as close to the cap as possible. Put the cap (top up) on a piece of white paper. Put a glass over the top to keep air away. Leave the cap overnight to let spores drop The next day, check out the colour of the spore print on the paper. If your mushroom has purple-brown to black spores, AND the flesh turns bluish when damaged or bruised, then it’s quite likely that your mushroom is a Psilocybe species.

It's not Psilocybe, it's Rossbeevera pachyderma or if you like, the more recently published combination Leccinum pachydermum
