Due to the fact he said it was growing from poop. I could be wrong but ime panaeolus foenisecii doesn't grow from poop.

Pretty sure can see slight bluing at the base of the stipe.

Pan foe grows from poop usually rabbit or deer droppings. It is doubtful that these are pan cinct imo. You can take a spore print to find out for sure. Pan cinct has a very inky jet black print with no tones of brown

there are a few species of Panaeolus that are similar to Panaeolus subbalteatus and share the same habitats. Pan. subbalteatus does have brown gills when young turning black with age. Panaeolus fimicola is the easiest to identify from the look a likes but requires microscopy. Panaeolus olivaceus and foenisecii are the other look alikes.

So judging from the answers above these are most likely Panaeolus Cinctulus or Pan Foes.

Is there a way to find out for sure. I think it is to late for a spore print as they are now dry.
