Question about rock dust

I was wondering, which specific rocks are the best as a super soil additive?
I have access to volcanic rock that I could collect from a local dormant volcano & I have access to limestones, that I collected myself from a cave.
They say, just any old rock will do, but I would like to know which would be the most beneficial to add to my super soil mix.

I read that granite is the best type of rock to use, but I was wondering if other rocks, such as river-stones, volcanic rocks (such as basalt) or limestone are good to use as well?
Would the super soil benefit from various types of rock dusts, or would just the use of one rock such as granite suffice?

Depends what you plan to grow and what is limited in your area. Limestone and gypsum can be good for tomatoes. I like to add bonemeal and epsom salts to keep the soil performing well.

Makes sence, which rocks are best for cannabis?
I though cannabis and tomatoes like similar conditions?

They both have high nitrogen requirements and all green plants need lots of magnesium. I've heard of rock phosphate and lime being added to cannabis grows but I'm really not sure what would be best.

the rock dust product is most likely a misinformation/scam because they say it comes from a very specific mine some where in the USA but honestly most rocks contain the same minerals. it's still a great soil additive though and I highly recommend it even if you already have a mix of rocks in your soil. it's also useful as grits for worms!

I add basalt, glacial, and volcanic, for mineralization.
Gypsum for "liming" calcium and sulfur. Langbeinite for magnesium, potassium, and sulfur.
