Habitat: on debris and leaf litter at the base of a standing dead Beech (I think) tree in a hemlock dominated area, North east USA Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Gills:Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Stem: Blue bruising that base Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: 1/4-3/4โ Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Spore print color: still printing.. Very important!
Bruising: Blue/green on stem and Cap Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Fairly certain I know what these are but Iโve never found them before, only seen photos on here so... Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi, can I get help with an identification?

Description: I found them next to a rotting stump. It has been raining a lot recently. Iโm located middle to north Georgia. The stems are white, thin, and hollow. It looks a little bluish around the bottom of the cap. I am taking a spore print of it now to see what I get. The gills are dark.

It will be better starting your own thread as it will help avoid confusion. Ps you have a coprinoid species.

Please do not hijack someone else's thread, it can cause confusion and lead to an accidental poisonings. With that said, you have a Coprinellus species.
