yeah, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the birds need that stuff in there or it helps with digestion or something

Phobias can be extremely illogical you are correct. Sometimes its a blessing and sometimes its a curse.

Yes it helps them digest the seed they eat. I still don't want it in my wbs spawn though it freaks me out.

Nope they're tiny little stones. If you saw through my eye's you'd see red flags on all the stones. People say they're fine to stay but nope not me, what use are they in the spawn anyhow?

The birds use it in their gizzards, they can’t chew their food the way mammals can generally due to a lack of lips and appropriate teeth. So they eat the grit and it grinds their food for them.

Yeah didn’t dinosaurs do that. And cows maybe.
I can’t even begin to imagine how I’d go about removing those tiny pieces from the seed.

Cows do not have a gizzard. They have a 4 compartment stomach.

Pennington classic is the go to WBS for me. I make it no prep with all seeds, stones, dirt, and twigs intact and myc loves it. I never realized throes Little Rock’s were in there for a reason though, that’s pretty cool

Thought I'd just update this thread real quick with the final pic of this tub. I'm letting this mature for the next few hours and then harvesting.

Here the first flush canopy, and bonus Gulf Coast shoebox. I'll keep updating with second flush/third flush pics.
