Monotub colonization mycelium concern

Hey guys, I’m kinda concerned about how the mycelium has changed throughout two weeks of colonizing. After the first week, the mycelium was sticking straight up like patches of grass, looking super healthy.. A week later, a big portion of the mycelium has become flattened or matted down. Possibly due to moisture? In some areas, there’s small puddles of water due to excessive condensation. Is that normal? All the holes were tapped during colonization to contain co2, but lids aren’t air tight allowing for some GE. Do I not have enough GE? Also, one of the tubs substrate has cracked, probably from moving it around too much - is that an issue? Appreciate any input!!!

Puddles are not good. Increase fae a little under close supervision to dry it out a little. Cracked substrate is probably not an issue but I would keep an eye on it. What is the temperature?

It's at 76 right now. Entire duration of colonization temp ranged from 75-80. Trying to drop the temp below 75 but kind of tough. I already started fruiting earlier today, replacing all taped holes with poly fill and introduced light. All surfaces are covered in mycelium, but some areas are more thick. I covered monotubs loosely in black garbage bags for colonization, leaving the ends untied to allow for GE. Wondering if that's why some areas are more dense. Should I soak up any water puddles sitting on top mycelium?

Might be best not to disturb it as cleanliness is key. Make a note of your water input and subtract a small amount next time.

It looks decent, if you have puddles that don’t dry up after a day I’d touch a paper towel to them to suck it up.

I slightly cracked the lid to allow for more evaporation. The water appears to be yellow, could this indicate contam? There’s quite a bit of water built up in certain spots, mostly in corners. I’ll try to remove it tomorrow

Some natural metabolites are yellow. Could be penecillin but it doesn't usually grow that way.

Could go either way. I’m pretty sure it’ll turn yellow from leeching stuff out of the coir too.

Gotcha. Ended up removing most of water with paper towels, hopefully all is well. Really appreciate all the help!
