As for how this affects spore germination, I'm sure they'll germinate if you're using a spore syring. If it's a spore print, I don't know.

Also, I think condensation is bad because water can allow contamination to get a foothold (though, I don't think that this should concern you). Though, it does indicate a bit of moisture loss.

here is a tip. use moist vermiculite! in my opinion the vermiculite should be presoaked to saturation and allowed to drain before being mixed with the brow rice and water, trust me it will make a difference.
