Would you care to post a link to the filter youve got? I’ve been wanting to get one myself and don’t mind paying a decent bit. However, I’d like to make sure it’s one that works well and is worth the money.

my search results Featured a snippet from the web:
When filtering water, charcoal carbon filters are most effective at removing chlorine, particles such as sediment, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), taste and odor. They are not effective at removing minerals, salts, and dissolved inorganic substances.
they prolly have that shit at home depot

All I care about is getting the chlorine and stuff out. We had to switch to city water from well because it fell in. I don’t drink out of the tap much but when I do I’d like it to not taste like shit.

I mean the fridge that is a new one from 2017 with the dispenser in it that dispenses filtered water.

Silly old minerals. What did they ever do for us?

I'm in Aus so what I get here is no doubt different to the brands available there. I don't know the brand to be honest, not stored in my brain. The under-sink filter canisters and tap set are pretty cheap, not really the important part. Though it does pay to get a half decent one with the common filter size and install it properly.
The filter cartridges themselves are the important bit and I pay a bit more from and buy from a local supplier. The carbon filter costs about $80 and the organic ceramic filter about $50. They last about 3 years with 5 people using it. But you can tweak the cost and filter requirements to suit your local water supply profile. There's loads of filter types with varying quality to choose from. I spoke to someone who knows what they are talking about and selling a range of filters to get the advice on what I needed. Made sure I asked plenty of questions.

I always wanted one of those fridges that dispense ice cubes and water. Man those were always the freshest glasses of water. You knew someone was upper middle class with one of those bad boys. Be hard to have a bad life when you can drink a delicious glass of water whenever you want.

I only drink the NF water from my labs Milli-Q system. I also for some reason suffer hypokalemia, hyponatremia, and a bunch of other mineral deficiencies. Weird.

Sodium Fluoride: LD50 [oral, rat]; 52 mg/kg Concentration in fluoride treated drinking water 0.7 milligrams/liter (mg/L).
So all things being equal, to die from drinking fluorinated water for a 70kg human would need @ 3,640 mg, or more than 3.6g, which with a concentration of 0.7mg/L one would need to drink 5,200 liters of fluorinated water. There is more though, you would need to drink this water all at once (I think fluorine is the least of your problems at this point) because the body can absorb, metabolize and excrete fluoride. Mostly it replaces hydroxyls in tooth enamel and bones, turning enamel from hydroxy-apatite to fluoro-apatite which is multiple factors more resistant to acid.

Can't do basic math, resorts to ad hominem attacks. Weak bruh, support your position, don't just roll over on your back and bare your neck in submission to my quick back of napkin calculations. A man should have more self-respect than that, but it is obvious you don't. Weak minded, weak willed, I have no respect for you.

Get a filter that pulls everything. The 120 gallon are ideal.
