Agrocybe Rivulosa cultivation

Hi guys, I'm new to the gourmet side of this, in fact have only been contemplating it up until now. I picked some agrocybe rivulosa recently (I've a huge patch near me), and they are so tasty. I found them on woodchips and am just wondering if they would grow using a standard woodlovers tek. I have 1 printed and have taken a clone.

Wow, just curious what gave you the idea to even eat these? They just don't seem to be common as an edible, hard to find much info... Cool though.
If they are anything like Agrocybe aegerita they shouldn't be too hard to cultivate at all. Says they grow on woodchips, so fuel pellets should work I imagine.
Give it a shot and be the first!

I bought a foraging book called "Edible mushrooms" by a guy called Geoff Dan. He mentions them being edible but he hadn't tried them. So once I knew what they were I did a quick Google and checked with a few foraging groups over here. There isn't much on them but a few people had tried them and liked them so I thought I'd give it a go, seeing as my other pick of the day was poisonous.
Ya, I will give it a go so. I've got it on AGAR atm, so I'll clean it up and see what I can do.
Thanks for your help Forrester, I'll post updates.

Just put spores to agar. Time to give this a go
I've got no experience with anything but cubes and this isn't commonly cultivated so any help from you lot would be greatly appreciated.
I'm gonna start with forresters advice above.

Successful germination from a wild print with no obvious contams so far. Amazing since the print was just folded over sitting on a shelf for the last 2 months

T1 from a wild print;

super happy with how easy that was. Reckon I'm gonna chuck this on grain as is, try a sawdust sub and maybe fruit in a mono. Not sure. I found them growing on a roadside embankment growing out of dumped woodchips. So I figure they probably like a flatish sub.
What would be a good casing, mulched bark?
Not a clue where to start with FAE and RH tbh.

I might be a little worried about that jar... could just be grains are too wet but that look always makes me think bacteria.

Your not the first to say that, I'm revisiting my grain prep today, got 8 quarts cold soaking atm.
I just don't really get how to judge the moisture. I thought that they just had to be dry to touch, so i boil and rinse, my cubes enjoy them as such but my pans don't, and one of the agrocybe jars isn't happy either. I'm using spitballs wbs tek this morning
It's irksome as cubes just grow, now trying other species, i'm having to change loads of bits that cubes didn't care about

You said boil and rinse, maybe try steaming dry instead of rinsing. But if you're having issues with bacteria (which cubes are good at overcoming) it might be that it's getting introduced somewhere and doesn't have anything to do with grain prep.

Well I prepped some new grain using a soak method this morning and took a spare plate out the fridge so. Got some wheat grain only on the way, in the mean time I'll try nocc'ing these new jars tomorrow and hopefully I'll have the moisture content nearer to where it needs to be

If you can get whole oats reasonable, I find they are almost foolproof. WBS was difficult in my opinion.

Most grains are about £25 for 25lbs here. Haven't found a grain store yet, it's all online, hence the shop bought WBS has all sorts of stuff in it. I have ordered wheat grain only now, but I'll try oats too.
What do you guys think of this?

This was prepped this morning using spitballJedi's tek. It's only out the pc a couple of hours, apparently the grains will absorb the visible moisture over the next day or so but they do seem a lot less swollen than my last batch.
