I'm back!! Needing help with a possible Pluteus species

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well... okay, so I just hunted in my front yard and found a few Chanterelles along with two other specimens I'm not all that familiar with. One could possibly be a psilocybe Pluteus containing mushroom, that's what i was told on here a year ago anyways. All help is appreciated! Thank You God bless~

Those Chants are getting huge, that's only a days worth of growing or less.
As for the Pluteus species it has a hallow stem and greenish and blue bruising on the cap but not so much on the stem.
I've got some other pictures I'm going to post here in a little bit. I'm headed to the woods to see if I can find more Chanterelles baby!! WhoopWhoop!! :-) Thanks again guys!

Your suspected Pluteus is actually a Russula sp., possibly something like R. virescens.

I did not know that Pluteus was a Russela species.. thanks for letting me know that. I was told it was active this time last year, I'm wondering if the guy who posted that knew what he was talking about because if I remember correctly a few others said it could possibly contain psilocybe. I'm just super curious. :-) Thanks again~

Maybe I expressed myself a little bit awkard.
Your suspected Pluteus is a [iRussula, not Pluteus at all. It is not hallucinogenic, either.
Pluteus species will grow from wood, will have free but usually very crowded gills which looks a lot different than the gills in your find, which are broad and typically very brittle.

There are no active Russula species. Many are good edibles, others not. The problem with this genus is that a lot of the species are very variable in their coloration, but their overall appearance are usually easy to distinguish to the genus. Yours has, in addition to the green tint, the characteristic "cracked" pattern typical for R. virescens.

Thanks for the link. It does somewhat resemble that species except that this cap is nearly greenish all over, theres hardly not a spot on the cap that isnt blueish/green. Check it out, heres another picture.

Right I understand that my friend but this specimen looks totally different than the mushroom in the link. The mushroom in the link has rounded edges around the cap whereas this specimen I have has more of a flat cap. No rounding of the cap at all actually... Hmmm

PF, what area are you located in? I've been itching to go look for Chanterelles but not sure if we've received enough rain yet to get them going.

I'm in far western KY... we have gotten enough rain, it's been raining for quite sometime now. The ground is saturated in some spots. Where are you located? We could go together.

That's a really nice chanterelle haul. I'm not envious though, I've picked my share as well the last few days.
Did a really nice chicken stew with chants and hedgehogs mixed in wild garlic bulgur for dinner today. Added a little chopped fried sweet potato and carrots to the mix, it was wonderful.
