Man that's fucking dreamy. I spent a good chunk of my working life doing that and working through until midnight, and it was SO perfect for my constitution.
Having to be professional at 8-9am is - literally - fucking torture for me.

yea its been an amazing 2-3 years with this schedule, but unfortunately it looks like I'll have to find another job so I'm not sure if I can keep this schedule.
Oh man I hear you on the 8-9am stuff I haven't yet been able to find a way to make that schedule work. what do you do that makes it work for you?

Wake up around 8:30 and on my way to first job by 9:00am usually.
Turn on the Stern Show.
Stop for an iced mocha and donuts or a bagel.
Drive around the city doing a few jobs, look at a few jobs to provide estimates. Sometimes I get paid to nap or play video games.
At lunch time I might get some tacos or more coffee and cake.
Then I do more work or buy materials for the next day.
On my way home I call the wife to see if we need dinner or if the baby needs anything and I stop to get it. Usually home between 2pm and 6pm.
Once home I make a coffee and play with the baby until he goes to sleep. Water the weed and feed the tortoise.
Then I stay up late sending out invoices, quotes, and scheduling jobs.
I might have an hour at night to paint or play video games.
Lastly I go to bed between midnight and 1:30am.
Smoke weed and do drugs throughout the whole day!
