There are some big online custom builders, but they got mad resources and do all sorts of tests to make sure components work best together and things of that nature. NZXT, cyberpower, Falcon-Northwest if you are rich... lots exist.

Yeah, imo the problem is, once you no longer needed to set the DMA and IRQ with dip switches, building computers got easy enough that most people who are into say, liquid cooling, are able to just build it themselves, and usually will. Only people buying that kind of setup premade are people who don't understand what it is, but know that people will think well of them if they have one.
Like guys who buy $60,000 custom choppers and have never taken a timing cover off before. There IS a market for it, but you have to do more marketing than building, and be surrounded by rich brats.

Eh, they're pricey but if I owned a business that relied heavily on over powered workstations i might spring for top end Falcon Northwest comps with pro vid cards. Of course those can run up to and into the 20k range depending on options
Note:20k is not unrealistic for top end workstations

Here is an picture which explains perfectly why the computer must be fully built for the photos. I've always tried not to criticize things that I am not knowledgeable about as it's considered rude.

I love U too bro the only reason I’m criticizing some of your business decisions is because one thing worse than hearing it won’t work, is trying to do it and have it NOT WORK

Then underneath the custom pc we have descriptions of the computers components and a brief summary explaining what the computer is fully capable of.
Here is my computer for example.
Processor: i7-4790 3.6GHz multithread 8 cores
Graphics: GTX 1660 OC Super 6gb 1725MHz
Motherboard: MSI H97 Pcmate LGA-1151 Socket
PSU: 850 Watt Platinum Certified
HDD: 1TB WD SSD: Samsung 500gb
then I would include the nonessentials like LEDs, certain fans, optical drives, stuff like that.

Would not buy, PSU is way over spec for that machine, could probably get away with 350 or 450W platinum cert PSU for a lot cheaper. This is what I mean about components working in harmony.

No one who understands any of that would need to pay you to assemble it for them.

That computer will probably have a lifespan of around 5-6 years and it will need upgrading to the newer technology which requires more voltage. It is true that it is overkill but those specs are for my own rig and I know that I am constantly upgrading it so that's why I bought the 850 watt

Actually energy consumption of computers decreases with each new generation of components. Its why you used to see 1200W PSUs with gtx 5700s and now 850 can support dual gtx titans

Also this, if all that looks familiar you no doubt can assemble it yourself in about 1/2 and hour them install the operating system, update driver and be up and running in 3 hours.

I’ve been flipping computers and their components for a couple years on Kijiji and have made a decent amount of profit. Having a website dedicated to this would only increase the profits long term

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm trying to prevent you from wasting time and money. Don't get defensive when people offer criticisms like this, because good ideas can bear the weight of scrutiny. If you only listen to what you like to hear, you can get blindsided by events you never foresaw. Even if Ice9 (and I) am wrong, there is value for you in what was said, if you learn how to extract it. If you're 100% right, the value is that your idea is solid enough to withstand scrutiny, which should strengthen your resolve to do it.
Having said that, here is more constructive criticism: Have you written a business plan yet?
There is a huge difference between building the baddest computer on the planet, and running a business. Many skilled people find that out the hard way. Doing what you love as a business means learning how to do what you love AS a business, a completely new skillset you may not have. Writing a business plan helps you determine where your weaknesses are and lets you figure out how to compensate for them. It allows you to continue to be in business even when things get tough.

Thank you for the insight. I’ve owned a dropshipping eCommerce business before with the help of just high school business and marketing classes and a $300 eCommerce course with tons of useful information in it. I’ve made many mistakes and try my best to analyze what what went wrong and for what reason then I try to think of a solution. The solution may not always work so there will always be trial and error.
