Not sure on exact identity but know it is hericium. Found in Penninsula State park in Wisconsin.

Not 100%, but it looks like hericium coralloides to me. If that is the case I can confirm they are delicious :cool: nice find!

I just cut them up and saute them in butter, add some pepper and serve them over rice. One of the tastiest mushrooms I've ever had

I will definitely give them a go when I find some I can harvest. The best mushrooms Ive ever found have all been in state or county parks.

Hericium coralloides this time of year? I saw someone on a local FB page found hericium erinaceus a few days ago too.....what a weird year for fungi its been.....

I found about 6 aging fruits of H. corolloides on one yellow birch log last saturday - thought it was a bit early.
