So my boyfriend has been playing in the cow pasture, we live in South Carolina, does anybody know if he can eat these and have a good trip or will he likely die? They are tan and white on top, the gills are a dark brown and bruising to a bluish color. Any advice would help . I kinda like him and wanna keep him around ♀️

Get better pictures on some white paper with natural lighting... More pictures.
I would not recommend eating any mushroom unless your absolutely sure what they are. With the information you've given people won't be able to help you very much.

There's a Hunting and Identification forum for this exact question. With tons of other members posting pics as well. A moderator will no doubt move this post over there for you. Look around over there and see what people are talking about. It will help with your hunts tremendously.
You've got a mixed bag there. 1 looks active but the rest do not.
The hunting and ID forum will have a really handy checklist to go through so the trusted ID folk can properly help you.
Welcome to The Shroomery and happy hunting!

This. Plus, one single small mushroom other than that species already mentioned that I’m not sure of bc the picture isn’t clear enough.
He’d be stupid to eat them without being 100% sure. Good luck, Hunting & Identification section of the forum is the place where you want to post this picture...along with a few other clear pictures of the same group of mushrooms you’ve already shown here.

OP now that you've been given the information you have you should figure out why it's so easy for folks to say so assuredly that they aren't actives. I suck at this stuff and the gills immediately pop out. That's just one thing.. look at some pictures + info on various mushrooms and understand the parameters people use to identify them. And not just the mushrooms that make sense for the habitat but lookalikes in your region as well. Maybe that'll help you help him, but also even if you don't become proficient in identifying it helps to know a little so you can communicate as much as you can to the people that will accurately identify it for you.
