I haven't kept up with the covid-19 numbers since may. what I'm actually really concerned with and I am wondering why nobody at all is talking about this but all the people who actually have to pay rent who stopped getting that extra unemployment money. what's happening with these people? Are they getting evicted now? Are they out on the streets now? Are they living in their cars now? how many people have committed suicide because they ran out of money? I heard about a father who killed himself because he ran out of money and he had kids and a wife.

I believe there is a nationwide eviction moratorium. Not sure how much longer that lasts.

81,000 new cases today in the US. A pandemic record. 7 months into this. For the time being, my region is essentially the best place to be in the country. I assume the idiots in the Midwest will spread it back here through their stupidity

Pretty awesome how well masks work. I've been back at work in a building of ~200 people for over three months. All people wearing masks at all times - zero exceptions. And zero evidence of any workplace transmission. It's a nice microcosm of an intelligent, courteous country like South Korea.

Another interesting thing about that graph koods posted are the data for DC, WA, and OR -- sites of large protests, yet still on the favorable end of the data set. Large gatherings, but most wear masks.

I hope Pence wasn't contagious in NC today. But I hope he tests positive in the days ahead. I'm fine with him dying too. Covid needs to kill someone in this administration for poetic justice, and the head of the task force seems like a good victim.
