I just add that the spirometer doesnt really reduce the risk of pneumonia. It just encourages people to take deep breaths by "making it into a game." You can do deep breathing without one though.

I mean, sure, im just saying it is possible to do slow, controlled, deep breathing without one and achieve the same effect. Its called an incentive spirometer because it incentives people to take really deep breaths by letting them know just how deeply they are breathing

The pediatric ones are super cute
We make it into a game for them, like "try to reach the house this time!!" It really does help. Especially for the very young and very old. You can watch peoples sat climb in moments.

You said it doesn't prevent pneumonia. That's exactly what they told us it was for. Apparently it's something that happens to people if they are in a hospital bed for a long time. He was there for about a month for something non-lung related.

Its misleading to make people think it will help them not get pneumonia of they are healthy. What it does is, for people at an increased risk of pneumonia due to shallow breathing for whatever reason, it helps reduce that increased risk

Do you own a pulse oximeter? I bought one ($30) back in early March
when it was said low O2 levels could be a sign of Covid
or other impending health issues.
Now with a new defibrillator implant, my PT therapist says I need to
try to keep my pulse rate no higher than 105. My oxygen is steady 98.

Keenan got COVID-19 in late February, before the pandemic was officially declared. “I kind of didn't want to run around screaming it. But it's real. And there's after-effects,” Keenan shared with AZ Central. “I had to go through some major medications to undo the residual effects. Still coughing. There's still lung damage.”
When asked if he’s currently feeling alright, Keenan answered, “Well no. I still have the cough. Every other day, I have these coughing fits because my lungs are still damaged at the tips. And I just got over the inflammation that was going on with my wrist and hands. I had an autoimmune attack on my system in the form of, like, a rheumatoid arthritis. Basically, from what I understand, it attacks weird spots and it's random. So that's what I got. That was my prize.”

Supposedly one of the 3 hospitals in the Green Bay area ended up having a bunch of workers get sick.
Beyond tragic Healthcare workers are dying and putting their lives at risk while a solid percentage of adults refuse to wear a mask. It's like a bad sci fi movie or something. But instead just real life.
