Stephen Colbert is especially unhinged, it was entertaining at first, now boring.

You're talking about the Late Show, right?  I've only watched Colbert on the Late Show once or twice, and that was a while back.

To be fair though...you DID think Trevor Noah was funny.  :undecided:

Yeah lol I forgot about Kilborn.

My favorite late night talk show ever was Conan O'Brien back when he was on NBC. When he came on real late after Jay Leno.

How has no one brought up John Oliver? I haven't watched this year. I tried but it's not as entertaining without an audience. A lot of the show was ripping on the crowd lol

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Hebrews 11:3
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Revelation 3:11
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Yeah, John Oliver is pretty awesome. This season is good. I would give it another try if I were you. It is interesting to see that the audience does add a lot to some of these shows even though you usually don't see them or interact with them anyways.

Maybe it's his accent?  I agree that the guy isn't hilarious, perhaps he hasn't crafted his comedy skill.  I do give him props for trying to keep the people informed on information that doesn't reach the mainstream news, a lot of which sheds some bad light on our government.  The only way to get that kind of information out is to wrap it around comedy, as history shows us: Mad Magazine, The Smothers Brothers, SNL, The Daily Show, Chappelle Show, George Carlin, Bill Hicks, ect.

I've been saying for years the guys not funny just pissed people off and creates division in the country and has not only ruined daily show but nearly tanked the network. He's just not funny in his delivery and the writing has gotten so dumb.

John Oliver is my fav out of all the pundits.

Upon reflection I don't think I like Colbert any longer. The constant Trump lashings and narrow mindedness has really poisoned the well of seeming talent. It's just too negative, whereas I think Trevor Noah strives for optimism.
Trevor isn't -as bad- imo, but less talented.

Agreed, Dis- Plus the news is so apocalyptic I need to be laughing or grinning, nothing left to do.

Agreed. I never really got into Trevor at all, the few clips I saw it seemed like he just rehashes cnn and msnbc headlines. Oliver's team actually does deep dives into things, so even though I don't always think his episodes are super funny they usually at least are entertaining and new.

I feel the same about Colbert too, he's really gone downhill. I haven't watched him in years. Loved him and Stewart in the comedy central days... I wish there was something like that still but nothing else really measures up imo. I only really watch things that can fit into a 20-minute or less youtube clip these days though.
