Myceluim contamination affect

If Mycelium gets contaminated before the colonization process is finished could this prevent fruiting?

Could go either way. If it’s really bad then yes, but a lot of times slight contamination makes it fruit early to try and get spores out before the mold takes over.

Could the actual mushroom/fruiting body’s be contaminated as well? Are any of the things that can contaminate the mushrooms mold, bacteria etc harm affect you if ate fresh? Would drying mushrooms in oven kill any bacteria/mold?

You can make tea.  The boiling water will kill bacteria.  Not sure if mold can still harm you once dead but it would kill any mold as well.

There’s rare molds that make neurotoxins but you shouldn’t be eating moldy shrooms anyway lol.

How can you tell if the mushrooms are contaminated? Im assuming they would just be discolored in areas or patches of unusual colors? Are there any specific things to look out for? Are there different signs to look out for, for each type of mold that could affect the mushrooms? Could the mushrooms be contaminated by mold but be undetectable to the eye?

It’s usually obvious ime. They either get visible mold growing on them or start to look sick and fall over or have dark blue black goo from the decomposing mushroom.
