jars stalling possibly?
    #2690485 - 05/17/04 08:34 AM (19 years, 10 months ago)

well, its going on 3 weeks and half of my jars are only half way colonized.  Its under fine conditions (86 degrees in incubator, its in the dark, and the jars have 2 coffee filters covering the holes so they can breathe).  There are also no signs of contamination at all and i followed the PF tek to the letter.  Am i being impatient?

Butternut squash are softer than acorn or other types of squash, which makes them easier to cut and prepare.

I'm guessing half pints if you followed it to the letter. Did you use fine or course verm? How is the moisture in the jars?
