I didn?t make this expirience.
I mixed 200 ml gras seed and 170 ml water in a pint jar and pressure cooked for 1 hour.
That gave the correct water content.

Look at it as a ratio: ano's 200ml to 170ml ratio is 1part seed. to .85 part water, not much different than the simple 1 to 1 ratio I mentioned initially. If you dump 1 cup seed into the jar, then it gets 1 cup water added. Just remember your results will vary, especially depending on how long you PC the jars, and how they are sealed. regular lidded jars will lose very little moisture, those with filter disks/plugs stand to dry out a bit more along the way.

I am also about to begin with growing Tampanensis. Is it true you can add malt extract to the water to increase growth speed and size of harvest?

They will love it...but so will any mold. you can get some pretty impressive growth with the addition of SMALL amounts of malt extract and dextrose, but adding them to the substrate pre-sterilization is bad news as the sugars can caramelize. you can mix your substrate up and injest it afterward with a pasteurized malt / dextrose mix, but you have to be VERY clean to avoid contaminations. Too strong a mix can also kill the spores.

When I do this "vitamin shot", the solution is added when the jars are about 25% colonized. That way there is much less risk of contamination, and if the solution is too strong it will just stunt growth rather than killing everything off.
