so i havn't been hunting for a while and just went and pulled ina huge haul
all the hallmarks are there: funky cucumber coloration blue bruising black/purple spores hollow stem correct environment
the one thing is i noticed quite a bit of subtle striation(i think that's the correct term) along the edges of the caps. little parallel lines on the edges.
i feel like i've seen this on other finds but now i'm questioning myself and seeking reassurance.
what say ye shoomerites, is this normal?

I think you're looking a little too far into the features there guy. The caerulescens I found last year has a slight striated margin to them. Zoom in on the pic and you can early see a striated margin.

thanks.
i was pretty sure i'd seen it before. like the ones you have pictured above you only really see them on the full developed fruits. it's just been some years since i went hunting and wasn't for sure if that was something i'd noticed before or not.
other than that they met all the criteria. i know what they are, just wanted to put to rest any possible sources for anxiety. i've picked hundreds of these guys over the years
