Good morning, I started a test mushroom grow with King Oysters. The TEK i using are the one with a Monotube and Coco Coir with Rye Grain. 10 Days ago i mix the Mycelium in the Substrat and everything looks perfect later on but today i see maybe mold ore isn't? I think i make a mistakes with not enough air exchange? I don't do any side holes only on top with micropore tape what you see in the pictures. Please is the cultivation done ore can i finish this Test Grow? I poke a few holes on top but maybe i can fruit them know ore need to wait bevore everything is completely overwhelming with the mycelium?

I don't see anything wrong yet. You don't need much air to get kings to pin. You might need a cold shock though.

I think king oyster needs cold to fruit - maybe try putting it in the fridge or if its too big, find a cold place outside. Not an expert though, I've just been researching for the same type of thing. The colonisation looks good though, if you do the same tek with cubensis it should fruit around this stage of growth at room temp. Good luck!

I've never done oysters on coir, but I know oyster mycelium can look very similar to mold sometimes...oyster mycelium can also be super super aggressive...which makes it seem even more like mold sometimes.
I have a grey dove oyster culture that I bought online... it is so thin an whispy you can barely see it on th grains...it explodes on agar and looks like mold...you put it to straw and it looks nice and white and fruits awesome.
Oyster mycelium can make your head spin sometimes.

Interesting it's time for put the tube in fruiting? Looks good colognising ore wait? I didn't know the lower Temps good to grow in late Sommer /winter in my bath Temps are more colder their. It's good to know that Cubensis love that condition at home but i have a plant growing too they profit from the co2 good combination both species. I really hope it is not mold on my king Substrat i here coir is great for lot of mushroom the wet dry combination of the medium is unbeatable plants love it either. I make the holes bigger to put them slightly to fruit hope they will growing hehe Posting here Updates

The main concern i have is that my king oyster on coir/hwfp was totally colonized in three days.
I also had to keep it in the fridge at night to get it to fruit, growroom was about 70 which I thought was cool enough but wasn’t.
This was either two or three days after spawning.

I let it sit for a month before putting it in the fridge which I think dried it out or something so it only fruited mostly on the edges.
Honestly man cubes aren’t any harder.

Yeah it’s tough. It’s been 40-44c here for weeks. Gotta have constant ac on in the growroom which dries stuff out.
As long as you can keep it cold about half the time it should work based on my limited experience. I would leave mine in the fridge for 6-12 hours each night and then put it in the growroom under lights the rest of the time.

Hmmm... yeah that part on top center might be an issue. You can tell better than me from here, is it mold?

Shit know i see some Green Mold Spots why that's happening looking so good from the Beginning... Maybe not good Air exchange? Can the Mycelium survive? Ore throw it away and starting new?

Oh and the problem wasn't with air exchange. Since coir doesn't even need proper pasteurization (especially with kings) I'm gonna guess the problem was with your spawn.
