Tripping with a camp fire, the wood cries in pain

I was camping the other day and had small dose of shrooms, everything started out how I expected but after a short while the crackling and hissing of the burning fire turned into the screams and cries of some unknown being(not sure if it was wood screams or like human screams).. The fire was radiating pain and hurt and I felt so uncomfortable but at the same time the fire was keeping me warm, I was thinking about how the pain and suffering of other living things is necessary for one's survival and I didnt know if I was worthy of causing pain to other things just for my own needs.
Has anyone else had weird trips with fire before?

Insane question bro, everyone else's trips with fire are perfectly normal.
About a month back I tripped on acid with a friend, pretty heavy dose, and we lit a fire near my place. It was all going well until early morning when it got cold and damp and the fire started smoking like mad. It was sitting like a fog and sticking to everything and I saw it as an existential threat to my house and my safety in general. My friend was so gutted when I put it out. Everything came right once it was out, but for a while there I was torn between my friends pleasure at looking at it and the safety of my home. Weird tripping idea.

I love when the flames die down and the embers are glowing on the logs and a slight wind makes them wiggle and glimmer in the only way embers can, it's magical! I will stare at a fire for hours while tripping.

Your friend probably wasn't as concerned about your home as much as you are, but that sounds scary being engulfed in smoke while your tripping 😂
That audio is really cool and eary, I listened to most of it... Very interesting stuff thanks for sharing
Its pretty awesome staring at the fire just not nice when it starts throwing out horrible vibes lol

Unless you cut down a live tree to burn wood, you’re doing a good thing by having a fire. It’s part of the carbon sequestration process. Trees absorb minerals from the ground (in the form of other trees that have died and fallen on the ground). By burning the wood you’re releasing the carbon back into the air (to be reabsorbed by trees that in turn make it into oxygen), and what’s left (the ashes) are for the most part pure minerals that you can then disperse amongst the trees to help them even further.
That’s a real basic explanation of it, but for the most part as long as you’re not cutting down live trees to burn, you’re usually doing the forest a favor by having fires.
Side note: in America we’re suffering from fire suppression (to protect human assets and lives), which has led to overcrowding of the forest leading to poor tree health in general. The forest used to burn itself off and create an amazing area for a new forest to grow.

A lot of what seems destructive to us humans is merely part of a cycle. All parts of the cycle are necessary.
