Speed Up Your Harvest With an Electric Knife 2

Just wanted to share a short video of how I harvest my monos. I usually am running multiple tubs, and have a full time job, so quick harvesting is essential. I had been spending upwards of 30 minutes on a tub with scissors and sore back afterwards. Now I can harvest 4-5 tubs in the same time it used to take me to harvest one by using a cheap $10 black and decker electric knife! I average around 4-5 minutes per tub now.

Pretty great. Are you using 1 layer of micropore all the way around

yup 1 layer of extra-wide micropore tape. my holes are 1.5" so I gotta get the wide roll to get complete coverage.
heres a whole thread on how I make my monos https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26874924

Awesome, I'm converting to micropore, I used 2 layers on bottom my first couple tubs and it was way too air restricting, clusters of pins formed close to the holes gasping for air. Happy to see 1 works, I have some going with 1 now hoping for better results

Thanks! TBH the electric knife only really works well with full canopies where you can grip big patches in your hand then cut the bases. The stumps don't account for much, I still averaged 4 ounces first flush across 10 tubs from an MS culture. which is great for the 4 quarts of spawn I used.

I tend to see slightly fuzzier growth around the holes before pinning initiates from the FAE, but I don't mist it or anything, just let it roll. and it comes out well as you can see! I also run a ceiling fan on high in my tub room.

That is a neat trick. Hope you've picked up all the mushies that fell off the side.

10/10 recommended . Worth it in the first half hour. Blade is so thin if I miss some stumps very easy to glide like a quarter of an inch go get the remains.
Timed myself on this tub, five minutes ten seconds. Game changer folks.

Hell yes my dude! It's pretty rewarding pulling up handfulls of fruits cut right to the base. Even more rewarding if you took the time to make a flat even surface. Then the blade glides right above the sub!

It looks like a great idea. I wonder if there is any difference between a regular electric knife and an electric filet knife. I'm not much of a foodie but I like fishing, so I might try out a kill two birds with one stone purchase.

I've always read micropore tape sucked for monks but your tub tells me different, think I'll give this a try.
Now damn I'm loving this electric knife idea, kudos bro. If I ever get a flush I'm definitely going this route.
