Will they fruit in the initial inoculated substrate?

So you take the cakes and put in your vermiculite/rice mixture...will they fruit if you don't do this? Is there something preventing fruiting before transferring the "cakes" to the verm/rice mixture?
Second question...I broke the cakes up and mixed in with the verm/rice mixture...was that bad?
Currently, after a few days, my verm/rice mixture is kinda acting like the cake in my initial rye inoculation in that despite having ample humidity the verm/rice mixture is sticking together and shows obvious mycilium growth. My inoculated bag was a one pound rey seed bag and I broke it up every few days...then when I mixed it in with my verm/rice grow chamber, first I wetted the verm, then added the brown rice flour...the verm and brown rice mixed well. I then put in my rey seed bag and mixed it all together too. Ugh...I probably screwed something up, I don't see any odd colors or slime so far but we'll see in a couple weeks :\ My dogs got ahold of one of my inoculated bags and there was red coloring and some slime, I tossed it! I will also be HEAVILY reviewing pics from the contamination posts I've seen and will probably post pics of my fruits before attempting ingestion too. So far, my plastic container just looks like my bag...good mycilium growth, no odd colors, smells, or slime...I know it will be a couple weeks before I see fruiting and rest assured I will be submitting pics before harvesting Taking no chances here.

Pf cakes are made from brown rice flour and verm. You don't mix cakes with more verm and rice. Read some grow methods (teks) you're a little lost

lol understatement there XD
hmmm...the teks I read said you inoculate a rye grain bag (sorry I spelt it wrong before)...which I bought sealed and inoculated with a spore syringe. Then transfer the "cakes" to a verm/rice...the only difference is I broke up the cakes (rye seed full of mycilium) and mixed in with the verm/rice.
crude...looks like I'll be trying again *facepalm

Wow that must be an old tek.
You want to let the grain colonize and then mix that into a tub with hydrated coir. Checkout the shoebox threads.
