Evening all
A close to home patch has been producing for a while now, so im pretty sure this a standard p. sub, but, the main patch seems to be sterile, and this one is not. (I found one other earlier in the season, and actually threw it away as it was different from the others, and by threw it away I mean I left it on an old log under a tree in the garden). First photo from this week, the ID request please.
second from start of season, thrown out

I have attached a few different photos, as I have photographed several different clusters over time, and virtually all have no spores. but if this mushroom is part of this patch, and it has spores, im going to let it drop all it can before I dry it out.
Habitat: Bark garden, under flax main patch cluster eg, while this is not a photos of the actual mushroom, this is within arms reach.

Gills: brown gills, note; 3 behind were found next to this one, and have no spores

Stem: 30mm long, 4mm thick, blue grey, woody and stiff, thin (compared to its neighbours)

Cap: 35mm dia, smooth, virtually flat/plane, striate Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.

Spore print color: brown, purple Very important!

Bruising: Stipe is quite woody, and hard. Grey blue from picking but hasn't really changed since.
have managed a few other spore prints this season, mainly from the Waikato, and im very keen to make sure I take one from this patch if I can.
thanks

Obvious blue bruising, hygrophanous cap, purple print - looks like you've nailed it. Nice find.
And that jigsaw puzzle in your signature is cool!

Those slugs/snails love feasting on subs huh. I have a feeling they prefer it over other mushrooms based on my own anecdotal evidences

thanks Anglerfish & Woolymarmot
This has been a very successful patch, but not many have had spores.
in case you are interested, this is the jigsaw box

my wife found this is a shop in NZ, she knows me well.
Woolymarmot ive been lucky with the slugs at this spot, but the season is changing and theres more slugs about all of a sudden.
cheers
