What is the likelihood of an Instant pot failing?

So im about at my wits end with contamination... Been using oats and growing consistently for about 6 months with no relatively big issues. Over the past 2 months I have had between 50 and 90% contamination and I NEED to get this figured out.
At first I thought that the oats were the problem as people say they have had multiple issues with getting bad batches, so I went from 1.5 hours of PC, to 2, then even up to 2.5 with no apparent difference. Then I thought it was my tyvek failing so I put on new filters, tried again, and same issue. Then I thought it was 6-8 month old rusty lids that had build up on it... so I replaced the lids, PC'd again and still having issues. I ve tried using the unmodified plastic lid method, only turning the jar lid 1/4 inch turn to let sit after innoc... I did a side by side test with shaken vs unshaken jars. BOTH jars after a week are starting to contam. Ive left un-innoc'd jars in a clean tub just sitting there waiting for clean spawn and after a few weeks about half of them were bad from just sitting there.
So after all this deliberation, I noticed on one of my 8 quart instant pots on the back... one has this plastic catch for "excess water" im guessing that is expelled after the PC cycle is done? The other instant pot I have I noticed doesnt seem to have it, and after my pc cycle is done sometimes there can be water on the counter.
Piece thats not broken/missing :

Piece that is missing :

Is it possible im not getting proper sterilization because of this "leak"? I know it needs to reach temps and pressure for about 90 mins to kill off what can grow, which is what Im thinking must be happening. Only other thing I can think of is where I live is pretty hot, so we have the AC on all the time set at 80. I know mold/bac can grow in warmer climates but I would think I would have issues 100% all around with shit growing in other jars that have not been innoc'd.
I really dont want to have to get a presto 23 qt as the instant pots sit right in my room that I do all my work in, so its much easier... let alone I dont have much experience with stove top type setups. Does any one have any experience or knowledge if the missing/broken piece is the culprit? Or are oats just fucking dumb and I need to change to wbs or something? TIA.

Do you know the working pressure of your instant pot? Many max at 11 or 13psi instead of standard 15psi used for recipes.

well ive used this instant pot since last november and its worked for sterilization in the past... its just over the past few months things have been going bad without even innoculating. Im pretty sure it was the instant pot duo 8 quart... and in another thread Im pretty sure they said it goes up to 15 then drops down a bit... regardless its worked before and now somethings going on.
